Job Roles at Dangote

• The ideal candidate for the Mechanical Technician-Belt Vulcanizer role at Dangote Cement Plc is responsible for the repair and maintenance of conveyor belts.
• This involves inspecting belts for wear, Joints (Fastener / Vulcanizing), Skirts, Idlers, Scrapers and other issues.

• Performing hot and cold vulcanization of conveyor belts of different types and Grades to ensure optimal performance.
• Material preparation: Marking, Splicing, Centering, Weaving and materials  preparation for vulcanization.
• Perform vulcanization of conveyor belts to ensure optimal performance.
• Inspection and maintenance of Vulcanizing Equipment.
• Document report findings, repairs made, and any repairs needed for the future.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with other maintenance technicians to address mechanical issues.
• Participate in training and safety meetings as required.

• OND in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum of three (3) years relevant working experience.
• Good practical and technical skills.
• An understanding of engineering drawings and principles.
• Communication skills.
• Good problem-solving skills.
